Three months old and loves to snuggle with his Nana!
Look at this kid. I mean, is he a model, or what?! So photogenic, and so freakin cute. I love him more than I thought possible. :)
We had to take pictures of Jake's last bath in our place. He absolutely loves bath time, and is so adorable. He kicks around and laughs at us and tries to eat the wash rag. It's good, relaxing fun. He definitely takes after me. :)

I love the half grin he is pulling in this picture! So funny! He already has the funnest, most calm personality. I can't wait to see how he grows up and see that personality shine out even more. :)
This was the morning of the move. We were going to be loading all the big stuff into a big trailer, so I got him all bundled up into something warm since the door would be open a lot. He looked so adorable in that little hood with the little bear ears on it! He's such a stinkin cutie!
Grinning big for mom and dad! I love that he recognizes us and responds to us when we walk in the room. So much fun. :)
Life is full of different phases. This one needed to be over. Matt is moving along nicely in his schooling, and we now have a basic timeline. It seems like it will take forever some days, but we know it really won't, and that it will all be worth it in the end. Someday we'll have our cozy little house with a great back yard and a dog, where we can all feel comfortable and have fun and enjoy each other's company. And we can have my family come to OUR house to visit! haha! Until then, we are going to have fun with everything and everyone that we can. Because there really is SO MUCH to be thankful for, every single day. :)
The holiday season was an adventure, to say the least. It was just way too much for my little guy! Too much excitement and not enough sleep. By the end of the day, he was a little cranky zombie boy. But I must say, it sure was fun to have him around!
Adam and Annie were super excited to give him their gift. It was football themed, as you can see from the wrapping paper. ;) Adam's favorite team is the Chargers, so he's starting early to indoctrinate his nephew. They gave him a little chargers onesie with a bib! You can see it in the first picture.
I gave Matt a collage of pictures of little Jake. It is freakin sweet, if I do say so myself. :)

Even though he didn't know what was going on, there was no shortage of gifts for this little one. He certainly was spoiled by all who love him!

At Thanksgiving he was passed around and loved by all. Grandma Holly even got to feed him a bottle! I've always had plenty to be thankful for every year of my life, but I'm especially full of gratitude this year. So happy to be a mom!!!
He really got into the idea of snuggling with Annie. He snuggled right in there and loved every minute of it. I think Annie liked it too. ;)
Tharon had the magic touch of the night to get Jake to sleep. Once he was in Grandpa's arm, he was so cozy he couldn't keep his eyes open! It was adorable.
Makai is absolutely in love with his little cousin. Whenever Jake cries, Makai starts singing him songs and says, "don't cry baby." It is absolutely precious! Oh, and his name isn't just "Jake" to him.... it's "Baby Jake." hahaha. So stinkin cute.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house this year, and we had my mom's sister, Suzanne, and her family join us. It was really fun! We heard a few hilarious stories that had never been told before, and we all laughed our butts off. It was GREAT fun! Probably one of the best Thanksgivings that I can remember.
Adam and Annie can't get enough of the little guy. They're officially hooked! Adam actually surprises me every time he's around Jake. I mean, I expected that he would LIKE the little guy, but not nearly as much as he does! I absolutely love it. They adore him. :)
Annie and I made all the pies this year... my very first time making pies! I made a pumpkin pie with pecans on top that was absolutely delish, and annie made a cherry and an apple pie. Every single one was SO good!!!
Annie was the lucky one that got to feed Jake his bottle. Isn't she cute?! I love this girl. Couldn't be happier with the person that my brother fell in love with. She is an absolute gem!
I know it, I'm WAY behind. I just have too much fun playing with this boy to blog! I really need to keep on top of it though, because this is basically our family scrapbook. It needs to be well documented, with lots and lots of photos. So here's a start.
Matt is one proud dad. He does everything he can with Jake, and he was so excited to be able to bless him. He'd been preparing for it for weeks, and it showed. He even bought a new tie for the occasion! It made me so happy that my husband is the kind of man that he is, and that he was the one blessing our boy, instead of one of our dads. It means so much more.
This is the blanket that my sweet cousin Stacia made just for Jake's blessing day. You can't see the detail, but it is exquisite. Truly a keepsake.
We are one happy little family!! It was such a wonderful day. I can't tell you how many times I sat and held back tears while listening to other people bless their babies. It's such a beautiful thing, and I was so terrified of how long I might have to wait to have the experience. I'm glad it didn't take much longer. :) Matt and I are so grateful to be parents of this sweet boy, and we hope to be able to teach Jake all the things that we have learned while praying for him to be with us. He's already made all the pain and heartache so worth it!
